Here's what’s cooking at North Minneapolis restaurants

Photos and story by Kyle Lor, North News Intern

North Minneapolis has been a classified food desert for years. It’s hard to get access to healthy foods, and sit-down restaurants are sparse.

Lately, new restaurants have been opening on the Northside, combating the problem of both issues. Some restaurants are new, and some are staples that have existed in the community for years as pop-ups.

If you’re wondering where you can sit for a bite to eat with family and friends, here’s a review of just some of North Minneapolis' eateries and their fan favorites.

Soul Bowl

Soul Bowl’s signature southern hospitality bowl features fried chicken, candied yams, mac and cheese, collard greens and a side of corn bread.
