Need a hot meal or groceries for your family? We have a growing list of resources in Minneapolis

The federal government shutdown is causing anxiety for the nearly 450,000 Minnesotans who receive food assistance from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
Funding could end Nov. 1 unless Republicans and Democrats in Congress reach an agreement to end the shutdown.
Below is a list of food shelves and meal programs in the City of Minneapolis. North News used program websites and interactive resource maps by the city and Hennepin County to list where people can find hot meals or groceries to feed their families for multiple days.
Please help us keep the information up to date and accurate. The precarious nature of funding these programs can cause sudden changes to distribution sites, hours and food availability.
Email Editor David Pierini at DavidP@pillsburyunited.org with any additions or revisions.
Once SNAP benefits are restored, food insecurity will likely remain high. We intend to maintain this list and will send out periodic notices of updates on our social media channels.
A note about this list: The first 18 programs listed are located in North Minneapolis for our readers.
